For the perfectionist in all of us

Tonight while browsing the web I stumbled across the most amazing Mac application ever. Now, it’s not amazing because it’s super complex and does a million things. It’s amazing because it does one thing: it unifies the look and feel of Mac OS X Tiger. Now you may be asking youself why one might need do that. Here’s why.

Apple has done a terrific job of building a beautiful OS. At present we are on Mac OS X Tiger (which also translates to 10.4). Throughout the revisions, Apple has continued to improve on the UI with different variations of Aqua and Brushed Metal. Problem is, there are currently three unique “interfaces” throughout the operating system as it stands. 1) Brushed metal (Finder, Address Book, etc.) 2) Shaded (Mail, iTunes, etc.) and 3) Aqua (Firefox, Preview, etc.). The fact that they’ve been slow out of the gate at having a unified look across the board has been a pet peeve of mine for quite some time. With UNO, those irritations can be laid to rest.

Thank you UNO for doing something Apple should have done centuries ago. :) Ok, so maybe not centuries ago, since none of this was around, but I think you get my point.
