Imagine. It’s easy if you try.

August 23rd, 2006

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today…

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

John Lennon wrote Imagine in 1970. I think this song is so beautiful because it’s so simple. It’s like having a nice cold glass of water. So pure. Although it has taken many years to unfold, I think I’m finally realizing, or better yet, grasping how amazing the universe we live in actually is and how sad I am for all the narrow minded souls. I, too, hope someday they will open up see the beauty around them. My post the other day goes very much along with what Lennon sang about back in 1971. Imagine there is nothing else. We should all live for today. Make the world a better place. Carpe diem.

I’ve been doing my best to sieze the day. Work on Blue Sky People is very close to being a wrap. I’m currently working on a promotional video alongside the founder and co-owner of Blue Sky People. We are getting very close. I’m excited to finally be finished with the project. It’s been fun, but kind of stressful at times. I once was very into video editing but I soon remembered why I gave it up as soon as I got behind the wheel again. It’s not that I’m not good, because I think I am. It’s just that it takes way too much time. And being the perfectionist that I am, if something isn’t working JUST the way I want it to, the steam easily blows the cover off the pot and I’m steamin’ like the manholes in NYC. Albeit I’ve only thrown my phone a few times throughout the process, so I guess that’s good. Like I said, I’m excited to be finished and be able to present something I’m proud of. Anything less (even if the client loves it) just doesn’t cut it for me. Still no word on Apple. Hopefully I’ll be back to work there soon!

The other day on my “Signs in Nature” journey, I took some great shots. So many things can be done with good photographs. In an effort to expand my creative portfolio, I created a nifty little illustration for my post tonight purely from the images I took on Sunday. Enjoy.
